Our new artist Marianne Anderson is a Scottish jeweler. Her work interprets decorative forms and patterns to create a modern sense of design. She says, “My aim is to highlight the importance of ornament in a modern context. Far from superfluous, ornament has always had its own vocabulary and meaning and I try to engage with this through my work.”

Please join us in donating to Radical Jewelry Makeover, Santa Fe Project.

Radical Jewelry Makeover raises awareness of ethical mining of precious metals and gemstones. Christina Miller and Susie Ganch travel the globe holding workshops on what ethical jewelry truely can be. They first make a call out to the community asking for all the old jewelry everyone has at the bottom of their jewelry boxes. Ganch and Miller say, this creates an alternative supply chain “by asking the public to mine their homes to discover gold, silver and other jewelry and deposit their lode with participants in the RJM workshops.” The participates then spend the week recreating the jewelry into works of art.
